Lent is a time of reflection and a time of giving. For Fish Fry-we are blessed with so many who are willing to give of their time. We had volunteers throughout the day from 8 am onward-pitching in and doing whatever was needed to ultimately serve over 1200 meals! The synergy is incredible.
I must give a special shout out to all the volunteers in the Drive-Thru. Thank you to O’ Connell, McLean, Marshall, and Meridian high schools (and any schools) for your incredible volunteers! At the start of the night, a volunteer said, “I am going to be the best order taker I can be. ” Three hours later-she was still taking orders and smiling. She had a crew of friends and they worked hard. Have a great week!
